If we decide to proceed, our package includes a blend of individual and joint sessions designed to support both partners separately and together.

We begin with an extended joint session (90 minutes) to get to know you as a couple – your history, your goals, and what brings you to therapy. This first meeting is a chance for us all to explore the fit and see if working together feels right. Each session builds on the last, allowing time for individual growth and shared insight, followed by a return to joint sessions to reflect, reconnect, and move forward together.

Payment Information

  • Where private or co-payment fees are payable, these must be paid on the day by either cash or credit/debit card after each session. Card details are stored in secure software and must be provided before your first session. A receipt can be emailed to you once payment has been made if requested.

  • We do not provide electronic claiming for private health insurance. Private payment will be required on the day. We can provide an invoice for you to claim eligible psychology services through your insurer. Please confirm your entitlements with your insurer prior to your appointment.

  • A valid and up to date mental health care plan (MHCP) from your GP is required to obtain the Medicare rebate. You will need to pay the full fee upfront, and we’ll use electronic claiming and rebate to process your Medicare rebate. Payment is made to the account details you have on file with MyGov within 24 hours. It is the responsibility of clients to obtain an MHCP and review these with your GP after the 6th and 10th session and for each new year. The Psychologist must provide a report to your GP after the 6th and 10th session so these sessions will be used to review assessments needed for your treatment report.

  • We provide services for eligible veterans and families with a current referral for eligible DVA card holders. Please confirm your entitlements with DVA prior to your appointment.

  • We support self-managed and plan-managed participants where services align with your approved plan goals and funding categories.
  • Reports and letters are developed according to their intended audience and may vary in length and complexity. As such, there are no standard fee for each. These are charged on a per hour basis at the applicable fee. If you are requesting a report or letter, please advise staff and a formal request form will be provided to complete for discussion with the psychologist. The report/ letter will not be provided until all applicable fees are paid.
  • Payment for phone and video sessions must be paid in advance. The appointment cannot proceed until payment is received. Attendance and cancellation of phone and video appointments are treated the same as face-to-face appointments
  • If you have a claim or referral through Workcover or insurance (e.g. income protection), please contact us in advance to confirm eligibility and paperwork
  • If a session extends beyond 60 minutes, an additional fee of $55 per 15-minute increment will apply to ensure adequate time and compensation for extended therapeutic support. Any support provided after outside of work time will incur additional $30 after-hours fee.

cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy

Living Vine Psychology requires a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. We have a No Exceptions policy that includes, but is not limited to, double booking yourself, being called into work, forgetting about your appointment, transport issues, caring requirements, financial issues, etc.

Late cancellation or non-attendance will impact your session allocation with some third-party payees. Where third-party payees do not cover costs associated with late cancellation/ no show. It will be the client’s responsibility to cover the full costs associated with late cancellation or non-attendance, as per the list below.

If you are unable to attend in person for any reason, a telehealth option (phone or videoconference) can be arranged as an alternative.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you attend your appointment as scheduled. Although there may be valid reasons for rescheduling, late cancellations of appointments cannot be filled and represent a significant loss of income. This policy is consistent with the Australian Psychological Society’s recommendation and with other practices in the area.

A courtesy text reminder is sent 3 days prior to help you remember your appointment. You can respond by text to confirm or cancel with a Y (Yes, I will attend) or N (No, I won’t attend). If you respond immediately by text, this will be sufficient notice to avoid a cancellation fee.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not open on weekends, so if you need to cancel an appointment on a Monday, you will need to contact us on Friday. Cancellation for any reason attracts the following fees.
